Ex Irish Paralympic Cyclist Peter Ryan came to speak with our TYs today. He told his story of becoming blind at 19 years of age and going on to cycle for Ireland in the World Championships and Paralympics.
Peter was the first Paralympic cyclist to complete the race around Ireland in an amazing 122 hours only stopping to sleep for a total of 6 hours in the entire almost 5 days cycling.
Last year, for charity he ran from Malin to Mizen almost 600km in 5 days (an average of 3 marathons per day)
