Our GAA Future Leaders Roman Byrne, Sean Brophy and Natasha Fitzgerald were working on their journalism module at Athone Town Stadium this week reporting on the minor cup match against Marist College.
The following is the match report written by Sean Brophy;
'It's a tough one to take as Swords Community College lose 3-1 to Marist College, Athlone in the last 16 of the cup. Plenty of positives to take from today though, everyone did their bit and worked well together as a team. SCC had 7 shots over the 70 minutes with 4 of them on target, a close freekick form Christian Coyle in the last minute denied SCC a second. Athlone however had 15 shots and 6 on target. The two standout players for Swords being Christian Coyle and George Mosneagu."
