Transition Year

TRANSITION YEAR (4th Year)

All students will study the following core subjects; English, Irish, Maths, French/Spanish, TY Careers and Portfolio, SPHE, Physical Education

Students participate in a combination of rotational and year-long modules, allowing them to experience both academic and practical learning in a supportive and engaging environment. These modules include:

Through these modules, TY students build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills while gaining valuable insight into potential subject choices and career pathways. The Transition Year programme at Swords Community College encourages students to become active, reflective learners, prepared for the challenges of senior cycle and beyond.

Transition Year Activities & Experiences

A key strength of the Transition Year programme at Swords Community College is the wide range of co-curricular activities, workshops, and educational trips offered throughout the year.
